We also offer additional activities. World class walleye fishing on the South Saskatchewan River is within walking distance of the lodge. Other available species are pike, sauger and goldeye. A 3-day fishing license costs $40.00 Canadian.
Duck and goose hunting is available from mid-September to freeze up, as is upland hunting for ruffed and spruce grouse. Seasonal bird licenses are $130.00 Canadian.
Hiking and quading can also be enjoyed. Two preferred places to participate in these activities are the river valley adjacent to the lodge and the “Provincial Forest”. The forest is a short one mile drive from the lodge. It consists of 20,000 acres of pine, spruce and poplar. This area is home to moose, elk, deer and coyotes.
Boating on the river is also available. We recommend a guide, especially if you are planning a day trip. We drive you upstream and under our guidance you navigate back to the lodge by evening.
All of these activities are available during your four day hunting stay.
